So they have no excuse to actually finish the story that they started the series on. What else can I expect from the corporation that refused to have a playable female option, claiming that they would need to add two animations and that would break the bank until they realized how profitable it would be (what game was it when that was an option?).

pretty sure the first one with a male and female PC in the main story was Syndicate with the Fyre twins, also first time a female PC was in a real mainline game not a smaller side game, and the real reason you couldn’t play as a girl in the one that caused all the shit was because you actually only ever play 1 dude, and everyone in multiplayer appears as the other 3 but is playing the one guy from their own POV,

it was co-op which people wanted, and they have a pvp system in some of the games,

and if you mean just pick one and play then that was odyssey, as the Fyre twins could be swapped between and had missions and stories unique to them,

AC has multiplayer since the 2nd game iirc

Lasted all the way up until Unity then it just became singleplayer

The multiplayer was trying to assassinate other players while other players were also trying to assassinate you, but the main gimmick being that everyone looked the same as the NPCs so you had to be careful about finding the right person. And then Unity was basically a bunch of co-op missions.

I’d be lying if I said that something about AS games having multiplayer just feels wrong to me, though I guess it was in the series longer than I thought.

Who? And unless that actually affected anything in the game/story, that sounds like the corporation standard “well actually X is LGBT so that makes up for mistreating our employees and/or abusing our consumers” response.

look you like monster hunter you don’t get to talk shit about other samey brain dead copy paste franchises when they have actual characters not thin cliches and the most watered down inoffensiveness waifu bait they can muster,

It always kinda bothered me how AC Odyssey gave players the opportunity to partake in LGBTQ+ relationships, only to then take that away and force them into a heterosexual marriage at the end, just so we could have a “Babies Ever After” ending.

Not only did it feel incredibly insulting to the LGBTQ+ community, but it pretty much negated the idea of giving players a choice (however small it was) in how the game would end. But considering what we’d eventually find out about Ubisoft, I’m not really that surprised.

At least Monster Hunter didn’t give the LGBT community the middle finger by forcing the player’s character into a hetero marriage because they forgot their own story and didn’t bother to just change the lore like they did anyway, making it a pointless slap to the face.

No one should ignore or forgive Ubisoft for that. Taking away the player’s choices in a RPG is one of the worst and dumbest things a corporation can do. They already changed it so that it just needed any DNA, so why force that?

That’s the worst part about their story though.

The maze in the Watch’s Keep DLC of Baldur’s Gate 2 was a nightmare.

My cousin was enjoying it, and lost interest in the series when the series lost interest in its own story.

It took me a weird exploit to unlock Baiken in Guilty Gear Missing Link.

It doesn’t help one game is about living past lives through the use of DNA sequencing of ancestors through magic McGuffin tech so any non-hetero or pretty much without the act of procreation, a character wouldn’t have a story set by the very rules laid out by the very people making it as it will break the entire story, immersion, continuity and progression all with a single character in the franchise.

The other is. Find big monster. Kill. Skin. Make gear. Find bigger monster. Kill Skin. Make better gear. Repeat. With Friends this time!

Tbf, it would work perfectly fine for a character to be in a gay relationship and still have a kid from a hetero one. Plenty of LGBT throughout history had hetro marriages and produced children before they fully accepted themselves and found a partner.

Would be easy to write a story around an LGBT character who was in a previous relationship, but left because they were unhappy, or their partner died and they were left with their only child, and then they end up in a gay relationship.

Easy peasy. Just takes creativity.

I absolutely love Crash 4’s art style and N-Sane Trilogy’s aesthetic looks kinda uncanny in comparison and it makes me find it a lot worse lol
