No idea, I’m not deep on the details. We might never really learn, since most people won’t want to admit to making something widely hated.

So there are rumours/leaks saying that a new Silent hill game is being made, this time being set in England instead of America.

Hmmm…

Forget about Washington the state. England is a perfect location.

The original Silent Hill game was set in New England, or so Wikipedia says.

Haven’t the silent hill games had games that take place OUTSIDE of silent hills before?

I remember one game that is part of the franchise and that took place in some rando apartment in New York or something and was no where near SH

SH3 has silent hill come to Heather due to a connection she isn’t aware of, 4 was the weird one involving the apartment that most people aren’t thrilled with, and Homecoming is just a bad mess that takes more inspiration from the movie than the games.

So Konami is going back to making AAA games again?

The money they make from Yugioh probably Made them financially confident to go back

Seeing as it’s a rumor, and we have seen their recent games, I have no hope.

If they make a Castlevania first then we have hope.

After their last few attempts(Contra Rogue Corps and Metal Gear Survive) I really can’t trust them to do much competently. At this point I just want them to make the DS Castlevanias and MGS series playable on modern consoles

You would think after how successful the show was they would have at least tried something

I think this one is on Casey Hudson. I remember there being a thing where he and the most core head writers made the ending up on their own and the rest of the writing team didn’t even know about it until they saw the final product themselves.

Yes. 3 took place elsewhere before the going to Silent Hill in the second half. 4 took place outside of SH entirely; the closest you get is like one of the levels letting you see the town from across the lake. Homecoming also starts outside the town before concluding in it.

They did almost nothing. They made a new Bomberman game. Which kinda helped Bomberman. But other than that they’ve been just like sitting around.

Konami makes more money with Mobiles games than AAA Games

Although that’s the case for Ubisoft too and they still make AAA games
