I hate to say this, but this was probably the best outcome we were realistically gonna get. The higher-ups already made it clear that they didnt give two s##ts about the abuse and harassment that devs were going through, and they planned on keeping Bobby “Misogyny” Kotick regardless of the backlash. At least under Microsoft, we know that there will be changes to how the frat-boy company operates.

It’s not without it’s problems though. This raises HUGE concerns about monopolies in the gaming industry (much like how Disney buying Fox did the same for the movie/TV industry), and Bobby Kotick is essentially walking away scott-free. But at this point, I’ll take any sort of victory we can get.

Whether you like or hate Microsoft, you know they actually care about their employees. As long as their working conditions improve, it’s a win for me.

Never played the sequel, as much as I wanted to. So from this point forward, I’m going into completely unknown territory.
