I think I was stuck in Metroid Dread twice, and one of them I needed to use a walkthrough video.

LM3 is almost done. Floor 14 has been cleared, and I went Boo hunting. That leaves floor 15, its gems, and the final boss(es).

Debatable. Metroid Dread “wasn’t worth $60” either.

But mainly the big difference is Dread is like 2 weeks old while the GTA trilogy is around 20-ish.

Like, you could or should find each one in the $5 to $10 range. Even if we slap a generous $20 on top of that for the effort to update the graphics that’s still a $50 bundle being sold for $60.

A lot of games shouldn’t cost $60 tbh

Game worth is such an arbitrary thing anyway. I think Dread is worth $60 because I got an amazing experience out of it that I’ll come back to again and again. GTA trilogy I’m happy to pay $60 for.

As much as I love Metroid Dread, I also think videogames are not worth $60, at least since many years. This is why I tend to see the best prices for the videogames I’m interested in.

For example, I recently bought Dark Souls 3 GOTY edition for 25€ (the “vanilla” game cost 60 or 65€ back in 2016) and I’m enjoying it.

Really, From Software might be the best game developer in the last 10 years.

20 yo-ish games, yes.

I don’t disagree that the trilogy provides a wealth of content, but yeah.

Like I said, I think game worth is arbitrary, unless it’s got millions of scummy shit tacked on. Dread is worth $60 to me.

Game prices should really be based on what the game has, not how old it is.

Been playing some Starcraft 2 versus.

When you’re new to the game and you get matched against someone with 1k hours.

When you’re the one with 1k hours matched against a new player.

I’m wear this all the way after Halloween.

And LM3 finished. Fitting that I use up the golden bone I was forced to buy on the final boss. I hope the A rank I got was as cool as the original hotel.

Been playing Haven.

Check it out. Story about a fairly attractive hetero couple being all cute together on a distant planet and making food together, petting aliens and cleaning up rust while flying around in cool antigravity boots!

I’ve been testing out Sora for the past few days.

Overall thoughts? He’s extremely floaty and light, and lacks a good combo game, but he’s still a lot of fun to play as.
