I said Souls-like. And again, have you played it or are just generalizing it as an excuse to not count it among Miyazaki’s other games? He seems to have liked it enough to include a Bloodborne reference.
You seem to not realize that games trying to ride Dark Souls’s coattails brags and promotes their difficulty. Even Dark Souls did that to a degree, from DS1’s “Prepare to Die” edition name to DS2 itself and their tutorial hags taunting to you about how much you’re going to die.
I can agree with that. I think a great way to describe it how someone who was depressed when they played DS1 put it (I sadly forget their name): DS1 helped him with his depression, where DS2 would have made it worst.
