Businesses can still choose to require masks. The main reason for their decision seems to be because nearly all of the spreading events in this county have been as a result of family gatherings, parties, etc. so a mask mandate wouldn’t do much since it only applies to public spaces.

Pretty much the entire world’s backs are against the wall so they have no choice but to rush it out. It’ll still be quite awhile before the general public gets the vaccine anyway. Only a select few will get the first few million.

a.) Enforcement of the governor’s executive order mandating masks would be difficult, if not impossible and would be an unreasonable strain on county resources such as PPE and law enforcement.b.) Broad ranging recommendations on safety precautions to fight the potential spread of Covid-19 better serve the public’s overall interests than Governmental mandates.c.) Opting out of the Governor’s statewide executive order gives the county flexibility gong forward to make recommendations or mandates, if necessary, that best protect the health and safety of the county.
