The Mythbusters new meat thread.

Who are these idiots? I don’t know! Why should I care? I have no idea! Post your ideas about who’s going to survive in this maelstrom of shit that is the Mythbusters testing ground! Adam Savage is watching, and I have no idea how! Is it via webcam? Secret surveillance video? Body cam? I DON’T KNOW, THE MAN IS GENIUS.
 
I guarantee this thread will get no replies and no views because I am Nightweaver and literally nobody gives a shit about me, and also because nobody cares about Mythbusters! YAY!

I honestly think the new Mythbusters thing is Science just whoring the name out. It should have just ended last February with that great send of vid. They vaporized Buster! That’s it, DONE!
 
This new show looks like it’s just going to be survivor: Mythbusters edition with barely popular E-celebs with only the explosion and non of the heart. All of them al all whacky, zany and “Oh! Whoa! Look at me!” What made Mythbusters so great was how Adam was the crazy one and Jamie always looked so serious all the time and they played off each other so well.
 
I think the worst part is I called this before they even announced the new series.

I haven’t watched the old Mythbusters and therefore I’m not able to form educated opinions on this topic.
 
Having more of a series that I’ve never watched doesn’t sound like a bad thing to me.

Except they turned it into a survivor-esque game show. That’s the big problem with it.

Oh, I’ve never been a fan of game shows, and Survivor even less.

Now that I’ve had a few days to, you know, detox and get my head back on straight, let me tell you what I actually do think about this revival. I don’t like it. Cyborg and Tragic are right, it’s a Flanderization of the original idea; all of the boom, none of the heart. I honestly think the show should have ended for good with Adam and Jamie walking off. If Mythbusters: TNG turns out to be anything other than a watered-down version of the original, I’ll be genuinely surprised. I guess come back in about 8 months once the dust has settled and the actual new show begins.

If anything, it’ll be like ever other show like this where nothing comes of it, maybe 1 season if anything.
 
I remembering watching the last season of MB was like the last month of high school all over again.
