Trolls in DeviantArt, especially Russian militarists, can be quite pathetic.

Some can be fetish junkies, while others are also furries. One example is “deadlollipop”, a furry from Russia who shows up every time anything Ukrainian or critical of Russia appears to whine and throw curses.

Also has a bitter hatred of gays and Ukrainians, I think she won’t ever fit into a Putinist society simply for being a furry. It’s like Nazi furs all over again.

It’s what echo chambers do to people. They give people a warped sense of the world that only agrees to their whims.
And believe me, I’ve been in BOTH echo chambers before. I’ve seen delusions stretch pretty damn far in all of them. They operate on a similar mental framework despite their opposing views.

And as to how I was able to “blend in”?
Well it certainly helps having multiple usernames lurking in the shadows or passing as a moderate. You can get into places you wouldn’t believe on either sides if you’re friendly enough and have a degree of impulse control.
