economic sanctions happened after the country was failing. Oil prices were not “manipulated”, but they did drop. Venezuela’s previous decades of poor leadership or decisions set the economy up to fail when oil prices dropped. They failed on their own.

They are attempting to rectify the problems. Hopefully it works, though I can imagine most people are a bit wary of the terms the government is setting, and if they will just nationalize anything that begins to succeed again. Still, I hope they stick with it and bounce back, a lot of people are suffering there.

It’s a long article but the gist seems to be they think southern Baptists are having too many members drift to the left on certain issues, so they’re going to try and force it back further to the right.
If this means organized religion is starting to fall apart then happy days.

Lindsay Graham, professional girlfriend, admitted that the GOP’s interest in the “Lab Leak” theory on Covid’s origin is as a means of vindicating Trump.
I really don’t know how he came to that conclusion, particularly since if Covid is some Chinese bioweapon then that would make Trump’s complete apathy worse in his allowance of a blatant attack on America to happen.
But hey the alternative is admitting Trump screwed up. GOP has to have their priorities.

It’s staffed with the likes of Andrew Neil and a bunch of other loud mouth Conservatives that want to preach about the “truth”, and making it a solely Right-Wing news source (while all the other news stations in the UK try to take a neutral/apolitical stance on their views).
We just got our own version of Fox News.

Trump has been reduced to not just ranting about his electoral loss at weddings, but he’s also crashing funerals to also make it all about him.
According to an in-depth feature from Bloomberg, Trump is meandering the halls of his palatial beachfront estate and occasionally dipping into a memorial service when he’s in need of some company.No, really, the guy is attending funereal receptions for complete strangers.Apparently, Trump will “show up to anything,” including a gathering of Mar-a-Lago club members who recently got together to remember their late friend. As far as we know, Trump didn’t know the person in question, he just “sauntered in to deliver remarks and hung around,” enjoying the attention and praise from guests that he’s now become reliant on. And look, giving meandering speeches about how the 2020 Presidential Election was “stolen” from you at a stranger’s reception is one thing, but stealing the limelight from someone who’s just died because you need the extra attention is just bleak, even for Trump.
That’s a new level of sad.

Anything to the east of the Mississippi would be different nations minus Florida(Which would be Spanish) Also most of everything west of the Mississippi would be part of Canada and Mexico. Alaska would still be part of Russia. And Hawaii would still be a Kingdom. Also countries that wouldn’t exist because of the US. Panama being the major one thanks to Teddy.
