2 things to consider here:
- WW2. The big one. It makes criticizing Israel a very sensitive subject in the West. And in today’s political climate nobody wants to be called an antisemite.
- Religion. A lot of christians in Europe and America have a massive boner for Israel. They can do no wrong no matter what they do. These groups will raise a lot of money and support for settlers.

For sake of precision, I want to point out that the home demolitions are in the West Bank. The Jews who move there are either native-born Israelis looking to take advantage of the cheaper housing or super-ultra-orthodox fundamentalists who think it is their divine duty to live there exclusively. Rich people, especially those from western countries, would have their vacation houses on the Mediterranean coast.

Guys checking out early makes other inmates anxious and their stress level increases. You do NOT want stressed inmates.
Guys being put to death is akin to them leaving when their time is up. It’s more…tolerable. You can make sense of it, and you find peace in it.

One of the perks of being a legislator is that you get to decide what’s illegal. Unless it’s obviously unconstitutional or the feds put some teeth back in the VRA (Voting Rights Act of 1965), there’s not a whole lot to be done.

Forces prospective presidents to take a more strategic look at their voting blocks instead of just trying to grab mass urban centers and ride them in for a win. This is what Trump did in 2016 and the Democrats were smart enough to realize the mistake when they ran Biden.

Actually, the Progressive Party was formed by Roosevelt after he lost the 1912 Republican nomination to incumbent William Howard Taft. Although Teddy ended up in second place, beating Taft by over 600,000 votes, the split in the Republican vote granted Woodrow Wilson an easy victory, with 435 EC votes.
Otherwise, to find a president that wasn’t under the democratic or republican label, you have to go back to the second party system and Millard Fillmore, back before the Civil War, when the Whigs were still around and the Republicans didn’t exist yet.

I would like to know what do you right-wingers have to say about these two horrible people, Rick Perry and Tim Boyd ? Both of them said that Texan people should receive no aid against the blizzard, to “avoid Big Government” or to “stop Texans from getting handouts”.
