They’re talking about Democratic state Representative La Shawn Ford, who said history classes should be abolished in Illinois until a more inclusive curriculum is developed that doesn’t lead to White Privilege and racism.
 
Ford met with local leaders in Evanston, Chicago where he proposed the plan. He also introduced a bill in the Illinois House amending the school code to require the study of the American civil rights movement.
 
“Today, I’m calling for the abolishment of history classes in Illinois. We’re concerned that current school history teachings lead to White Privilege and a racist society,” Ford said.

Yes. They are as we have discussed before communists that are actively seeking revolution. They want to achieve this by redefining history as “problematic”, alongside a lot of other things that can stop them. If they succeed in weakening society enough they will try to move in and take over.

To answer your question, violet, I probably wouldn’t but that isn’t the same here. The people whose businesses are being burned down have nothing to do with the purpose of the protest. Stores on streets have nothing to do with police brutality so they aren’t good targets. Nor does it endear the populace to the cause for mobs of people to terrorize neighborhoods like some invading force. At least the BTP just targeted businesses related to their cause, not just any place they could find a nice TV.

To be fair, I’m also kind of against a minimum wage increase. I used to work retail and I know exactly when the wages went up in my city. It was the same week all my co-worker’s hours got slashed. No longer was I getting 5 shifts a week. I was lucky to get 1 a week. Not to mention how few hours I got due to constraints. Working with half (If we’re lucky) a team was hellish and miserable. I made less in a week than I used to a day. I don’t think increasing wages is the solution generally but I also admit I don’t know economics, so I have no solution.

And for those confused about Commune’s post, here. You’ve no doubt noticed that nothing I wrote mentioned Call of Duty or any game, did it? Even if it did, keep in mind that some institutions have used Sons of Liberty to teach meme theory, so the whole “video games don’t teach you anything” spiel doesn’t hold water.

Also, you still have no proof that anything this guy claims is legit, one of the two sources you cited just sourced a quote from the guy without saying anything about what he claimed was true and the other doesn’t even fucking work. Even the Wikipedia article literally stated “accusations of Soviet infiltration”. Do you know what accusations mean, there is no proof to his claims
 
I mean taking a look at his wiki article, he claimed that the Soviet Union deliberately shot down a plane containing a US politician to silence him(anyone who understands Cold War politics will tell you why this is stupid).

That’s right. In fact, Cultural Marxism is a political slogan that describes an alleged conspiratorial attempt by the political left, or the (neo-)Marxists, to destroy the culture and morals of the USA through attacks on the American Way of Life with doped political correctness.
 
Indeed, an interesting conspiracy theory, which is clearly a strategy of the New Right to reinterpret the old image of the enemy, because the classic “Rote Angst” (Red fear) no longer works. In particular, I find it interesting to stigmatize philosophers of the Frankfurt School, feminists, homosexuals, multiculturalists, migrants and environmentalists as hostile “Kulturkrieger” (cultural warriors). Or that Jewish emigrants who came to the USA during the Nazi era imported Cultural Marxism in order to undermine American values and enable a world government.
 
I believe that anyone who does not see the obvious political intention behind this, who ignores the fact that such a slogan has already spread globally under the New Right, especially among right-wing extremists like Anders Behring Breivik - who has killed 77 people in cold blood, including 69 children of a social-democratic political belief - can hardly be helped.
 
I’m just waiting for people with signs in their hands to stand in front of shops that say, “Don’t buy from Lefties.” But after all, we live in times when civilian Trump supporters openly talk on TV about to take back “their” cities - preferably by force of arms. Well, we had all this stuff here in Germany already in the 20s, 30s and 40s of the last century. The lesson was that you can’t let enemies of democracy get away with everything. Just because they disguise it as freedom of speech. It seems that other countries still have to learn this lesson.
