I can’t say Trump has fixed it, it’s not just up to the president and Congress wants to fight him. As for the legislation we can credit him for supporting it, sure, even if the other person would have.

Not for a lack of trying when it comes to Venezuela or Iran. Especially Iran, considering he ordered the assassination of their top generals on a whim and literally had bombers in the air ready to start a war but called it off at the last possible minute.

I wouldn’t pin that on Trump per se, as the foreign policy establishment in DC has had it in for Iran since the revolution. Hell, Bush 2 was meant to invade Iran after Iraq was pacified, as the latter was to be used as a staging area for the ground portion of the invasion.

Still wouldn’t call it a passing score when the only reason his sabre rattling didn’t blow up into an actual conflict is because he got cold feet either at the last minute (Iran) or because he got bored (Venezuela).
