Do I seriously need to point out how many dems support violent protestors like BLM and literal terror organizations like and Antifa?

Are certain facets of BLM violent? Yes, however the group was created in response to the murder of Trayvon Martin by neighborhood watchman, George Zimmerman. Despite multiple orders from actual police officers to pull back and do not engage Trayvon Martin, George persisted and ended up killing the boy over “looking suspicious” for wearing a hoodie.

The boy was killed and the monster has the audacity to try to sue Trayvon Martin’s family?

Antifa isn’t a terrorist organization, they’re actually very decentralized and can hardly be called an organization. Just because your Orange Chode of a president calls them a terrorist organization doesn’t mean they are one. He calls them a terrorist organization and yet refused to call the Proud Boys one who didn’t fight due to happenstance but were actively looking to cause a ruckus and fight people.

Can Antifa be violent, yes but they aren’t a terrorist group. They’re just a group found in riots and protests – not terrorism.

Trump can say or do anything and the left will ruthlessly attack him, yet if a dem does literally the same thing, or worse, whether it be a racist statement, sexual assault allegations, or even blackface, the dems get a hard pass by other dems.

You must mean the Centrist, Establishment Democrats. The centrists are just as bad as you guys and we go hard on them, that’s why Biden had the controversy with Tara Reade sexual assault scandal and why I really do not want to vote for him. The guy is a creep like your president.

Another bigger note is the fact that you seem to think that sexual assault and other heinous things are acceptable qualities in a leader?

I don’t care if it’s a clump of cells. You’re killing a potential life, and indeed, a full life in late term abortions.

But pregnancy has actual detrimental effects on women, Hormonal imbalance as well as potentially severe weight gain not to mention the fact that woman or baby can die from being various external effects.

You forcing a mother to have a child is just going to lead to the mother being sad and angry during the whole pregnancy and the child growing up with unforeseen birth defects and genetic disorders.

This is common fucking sense. Great job, you chose a clump of cells smaller than trump’s hands that may one day become a human being over an actual fucking human being.

You may want to tax the rich, and fine. But that usually comes down and hits the middle and upper-middle class instead. Unacceptable.

This is retarded. Incredibly retarded. I cannot even comprehend how taxing the rich a bit more who have disposable income as large as your ego could possibly effect the middle and upper middle class in a negative way. Taxation isn’t a pendulum like supply and demand is, its a number that the government can completely customize at will.

Muslims were never banned from the US for being Muslims, nor was it ever permanent.

It wasn’t permanent but they were banned specifically because Trump thought that they were terrorists which is basically the same thing.

Its really only a minority of Muslims that are like this and yet as it is to Blacks as criminals as it is to Jews as thieves… you guys have gotta stereotype another minority race, right?

Freedom of speech mean some people might get their feelings hurt. Get over it.

Racist.

Factually true and it’s a federal crime.

Factually false. You’re being dishonest as hell, right now. In what way do Progressives support destroying history? If you mean the statues then those people belong in a museum or a book – not in the town square to be held in esteem.

And I’ll say it again. I’m anti censorship. We’re not communist China, nor should we try to be.

You say that but your president tried to have John Bolton’s book silenced and his niece’s book silenced by suing the latter and labeling the former as a potential “national security threat.”

I grow tired of the hypocrisy.

Statistically false, and a lie spread by anti Police leftists. There is no shoot first ask questions later policy, there is no systemic racism in the police force, and there is no mass majority of Police corruption. We don’t want some weak ass little unarmed UK Police force. American Police is fantastic and deserve your respect.

You moron, its a phrase not a literal policy. This is the live footage of Tamir Rice’s death. Not even told to drop the weapon or anything, they just drove up on him and executed him on the spot. He was 12.
This is the death of Philando Castile.
This is the death of Eric Garner.

The US kills a stupid amount of people each year whilst the UK doesn’t, the UK only killed 3 people in 2019 whilst the US has killed over 1,000 people with the majority being White.

These are the people who our taxes are paying for? We’re paying them to kill us.

If we’re now throwing around fake diagnosis, I diagnosis you with typical Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Dude, actually fuck off. This isn’t 2018. Cognitive Dissonance is an actual thing where as whatever that trump derangement syndrome is just a made up term created by mentally weak, pathetic whelps like yourself who can’t handle your role model being criticized.

Abortions are great, especially late term ones. George Tiller was an American hero. At-home abortion kits should be sold in supermarkets, along with machine guns.

It’s funny how people either agree with me on one, but hate my guts on the other, and vice versa.

That would honestly be a first, because it’s either the pro-gun people who agree with my position on guns, but hate my position on abortion (and IQ, if recent experiences are any indication), or the pro-abortion people who agree with my position on abortion, but hate my position on guns.

While I don’t think that abortion should be treated as a go-to contraceptive, I also don’t think it should be restricted either. Like with guns, the issues are further up the chain of events than at the end. A lot of my female friends have had what can be considered ‘elective’ abortions* for one reason or another, thus can sympathise with why it should be unrestricted. They would prefer not to get them, but like that the option is there.

*(Abortions are technically restricted here in NZ, but you get around that by claiming mental unfitness, and they’ll perform them in any public facility)

Sighs~ Did you have to take up half a page, my dude? I don’t dislike talking to you but this is getting a bit excessive.

Then why’d you come here for?

I can only speak for myself. I generally think he’s okay but also concede that he makes mistakes. In general, I say he’s meh.

He’s literally never conceded to making a mistake and every other sentence he uses the phrase, “this is the best plan”, “I’m the best at this and that.” The guy is pathological liar and a severe narcissist.

You’re a terrible judge of character.

Its so easy being privileged and not having to worry about his policies potentially effecting you so you’re like, “eh, he’s alright.”

Have you considered having some empathy for once?

It hasn’t happened as of late so is there a reason to bring it up presently? I’m not saying we shouldn’t care about it when it happens but since it hasn’t recently, there’s no point.

Its just an instance of Right Wing terrorism, a pretty significant one that killed a lot of people. In the grand scheme of things in the current century relative to our current year, 5 years is really, really recent. 10 years as well.

This is how experts and everybody else categorizes events occurring in the modern time.

I condemn the cops for the GF thing but I don’t think the riots were justified. Why? Because it makes people forget why the protest happened to begin with. When a small business owner looked over the charred remains of their livelihood, they won’t give a flying fig who died. They will just be pissed off.

I understand what you mean and would rather they riot and destroy government property since its the government that failed and not the business owners who are probably protesting along with them.

If people vote and it doesn’t get passed, a mob doesn’t get to come by and do it themselves. That is unlawful. In any context. If a mob can just overrule a vote, what is the point of voting at all?

The nature of laws is to uphold a publicly perceived good but if the laws fail to do this then some laws need to be broken. You know what else was unlawful? Rescuing slaves.

Yeah, its not like those coal workers are older people who have only ever done one thing and rely on that to feed their family. Really, they should just change professions cause its as simples as that. Why would they be upset about losing their jobs?
Also, I don’t think those people are the white supremacist types. I’m sure there are a few sprinkled in there but still not the group you should be condemning. A few like him but I don’t think that’s something to pin on Trump. WS like a lot of things but refuse to give them those things just cause they like it.

But thats the thing, with the Green New Deal proposal, workers from Old Energy jobs would receive training at the New Energy jobs and would be able to work at those companies and have their livelihood returned.

And I never stated that those ones are the white supremacist types, I just stated that they feel that its tolerable so long as they keep their job. This is a fact.

I will fight for them despite my lack of care, thank you. It’s kind of how I condemn book-burning despite the fact I might never read the books being burned. I defend them on principal. Why? Because they mean something to someone else and I don’t think I have the right to destroy something they value just cause I don’t like it. I assume you would feel the same if on the receiving end of this treatment.

Did you just compare something as portable and less meaningful as a book to a statue? Book burning isn’t good, but there’s a difference between a mere book and a statue that cost a lot of money to make and made in honor of a person.

There’s a big, big difference and the statue belongs to nobody but the city and the city is a public entity – not a private one. So if the people decide that they don’t want it and the city failed to do its duty to the people then the people have no choice but to do it themselves.

Slavery has been a thing for centuries. People tend to have a preference for their own group and vilify the other. That other might be classified by race, class or just the fact they aren’t part of their group. Its shockingly easy to see how it happened throughout the world. This is the reality of humans. We can be dicks. I accept that and I condemn it. The same way I understand people getting married young or other weird shit while condemning it as bad. The past isn’t a pretty place but let’s be honest, we have the luxury of looking back at it in relative safety. If anything, we should be impressed by the founding father for having such a view in a time where the easy path would be to stay silent and go along with it.

That’s cool and all, but like I said before, if me and you were part of an esteemed humanitarian association that was founded say 200 years ago but the founders were documented to have taken many child wives even if it was accepted long ago, would you defend the founder’s existence or try to associate yourself away from that reputation by say relegating the founders to a plaque and books but took down their self portraits and such?

If not the founders at least the guys who were secondary?

My mistake. I forgot he was a socialist (I think that’s the term) so of course, he’d said that. I might be wrong about this since most of the stuff I find is about some guy named Engels. So you can just ignore this last point. My bad~

Its fine.

While I consider late-term abortions pretty icky, I still think they should be available. As for DIY abortions, we technically already have that with morning-after (or plan B if you’re American) pills. It wouldn’t be much of a stretch to extend them to a technological solution.

Abortion is a tricky issue to discuss politically because there’s not necessarily an epistemically correct position on it or any hard data/studies people can throw out (At least to the question of morality), it’s much more of a philosophical issue, and as such no matter what someone’s opinion on it is i can’t really feel comfortable arguing against them, it’s a matter of perspective.

As to my personal opinion on the matter, I am a utilitarian, and through that lens, I feel we gain more value as a society from abortion being legal than it being illegal. Abortion will still be performed if it’s illegalised, just with dangerous methods that can harm the mother. I generally think we have more to gain by respecting the bodily autonomy of a woman over that of an unborn fetus, and that there is less harm and potential for harm that way regardless of wether or not your stance is that the fetus has the quality of personhood yet or not.

Pretty much this. Despite all the jokes, I feel that the most utilitarian approach regarding abortion is the best, because criminalising it has both horrific implications (women don’t own their own bodies) and outcomes (illegal abortions and unwanted children). We can play the nirvana fallacy game all day long, but until artificial wombs are both a thing and easily accessible, abortions are here to stay.
