By that logic, you could’ve argued in 2016 that Trump, who expressed his support to the Democrats’ economic policies back in the 2000s, merely pretended to turn his coat to win the Republican nomination, and would implement those policies once elected.  
We know from experience that’s not what happened.

I think BP here is a Bloomberg staffer paid to just stan for Bloomberg somewhere online. It’s why he’s trash at this and can’t argue. Like how Bloomberg things we think socialism is somehow related to social media.

It is an argument. Looking at a candidate’s history to see that according to the very things he said in the 70s he was a socialist. Since then he has done nothing to dispel that notion eyond claiming he is now a “democratic socialist” and the policies he supports now are still policies he supported then.

I don’t think Trump is a republican, I think Trump is a businessman who has always been a businessman. He ran for the reform party as well.

So tell me, if you think most of his policies are bad, how do you propose fixing all the issues he wants to fix differently? College debt, our horribly broken healthcare system, most middle class workers despite having low unemployment are still barely getting by, living paycheck to paycheck?  
Like, as far as first world countries go, the US is arguably one of the worst, in terms of quality of life.

Bingo. A lot of the fear-mongering–and let’s be honest, that is what it is–about SHOSHULISHM! is contingent on Bernie being able to pass legislation. Most of the dumb shit Trump wanted to do was either done by executive order, pursuant to existing legislation (the Muslim ban, the pardons, the wall), or not done at all (repeal and replace, Infrastructure Week, the wall). And most of the dumb shit Bernie wants to do can’t be done by executive order. Thank you, Hugo Black.

That’s a big answer for a number of topics. I can tell you for college you need to get rid of government loans, seeing as how that is what has driven the price of student loans so far up. (Schools get paid no matter what, they have every incentive to raise prices). Though that is also a cultural issue since for a long time people pushed HS kids to go to college or else they are failures. I remember mine brought people in to talk to us about how much more money college grads made.
 
Healthcare is a complete shitshow, people like to claim it is the free market gone wrong but in reality it is and has been far from that. So many regulations in healthcare, insurance industries, and drug manufacturing has driven costs up. I would stress focusing on those causes to solve why administration costs are simply ridiculous. For the middle class no one solution works. For a large number of people the problem is housing coats are so high. We need to let the supply of housing catch up with the demand, many areas are actively hampering this.

Ok, so how do students pay for college and not get into debt? I think, it should not be free but there’s no reason it should cost 10s of thousands of dollars. And yeah, parents should not push the “go to college or you’re a waste”.

They may go into debt, depending on the degree that investment of theirs might be worth it. The level of debt they’ve gone into now is the result of government loans though.

They’ve been around for a little while, but have gotten more attention recently. Think of a private school where the kinda are getting public funds to go. The results are promising but it is possible that the charter schools with really good resulta are self selective. The kids do better then their public school equivalents because those kids are hardworking and/or have parents who can keep on them to do the work.

Someone responded to me saying he was not a socialist, I was saying he was. You could argue that electing him runs the danger of normalizing socialism in the same way people think electing Trump normalized fascism. I disagree with both of those ideas though.
