I mean, Twitter isn’t the best place to see what sane people are talking about.

Folks on Bluesky are still making memes about the murder and his name. They’re focused on the act and how terrified the elites are more than his personal politics - though some have acknowledged that they aren’t great.

Even on X, I have not seen anyone on the right condone him because of his politics.

Another appointment announced by Trump. Ed Martin, an anti-abortion activist, former Missouri GOP Chair, and past associate of the infamous Phyllis Schlafly is Trump’s pick for Chief of Staff of the Office of Management and Budget.

Martin has long advocated for a full national ban on abortion with no exceptions - not even for rape or incest. Further, he has urged that not only should doctors who perform abortions be jailed, but women who seek them as well.

It is a law for government buildings to change their clocks per Daylight Savings Time. So you can’t just tell people to stop.

A law enforced by what? At most it’s a social enforcement that ends if the government says that they are no longer changing the clocks for daylights savings.

DST ending > endless DST

I know I’ve said it before, but I think shareholders are one of the main reasons for the greedy practices in our world. They’re who game corporations and insurance companies try to please after all.

Nobody wants to be a hour early or late on the rest, so as long as DST is on the books somewhere, the people living there are kinda forced to observe it (Arizona is the obvious exception in the US, and even them must have to change whether they align on MST or PST every six months).

I recall the EU was in the process of drafting a new reglementation to end it (after opinion polls showed a significant majority was in favor), then Covid hit and it was left forgotten.
