Honestly, this sadly won’t change the MSM’s minds. Or anyone who’s sympathetic with the ceo’s minds.
What it will change is how much security healthcare CEO’s need.

There is something curious that is happening in Syria, so far the transition is more peaceful than everyone expected.
Leaving aside Israel bombing weapons depots and pro-Turkish rebels attacking the Kurds in the north, in the rest of the country there has not been the widespread chaos that was expected.
Even so, I have seen that on Twitter a lot of pro-Assad people have been spreading disinformation in an attempt to show chaos that does not exist.
I found several half-viral examples, a compilation video showing some executions or mistreatment of prisoners said they were Islamists repressing Christians.
False, it actually showed the execution of 2 soldiers who worked in the infamous Sednaya. The other was a cousin of Assad who was extremely hated. The other was a general who had video feeding prisoners to the lions and the last was a corrupt official of the regime.
But the title was “unarmed Christian minorities.”
I’m certainly afraid of what HTS is going to be, but that doesn’t mean we should cry for a genocide that may not even happen, much less invent one.

Hmmm … For United Healthcare alone, that’s an additional $1,400,000,000 profit next year. Not revenue - profit.
That should give them enough to buy a nice fleet of armored and staffed HMMWVs for the executives. Complete with a Tony Stark style wet bar in the back seat. And whiskey, and hookers!

In a twist that surprised nobody, the person who blew the whistle on Luigi The Co-pay KillerTM not even get any reward due to the sheer number of hoops involved. Even if they do, the people offering the reward can change the amount based off the quality of the information, as determined by their own discretion.

Kind of a missed opportunity to make someone ELSE the hero of that crime - the person who reported the murderer. Seems like a missed opportunity.

Another twist that is beyond satire? Mangione explicitly names our unjust healthcare industry as his motive in his manifesto, but NBC News and others are now trying to implicate fucking Amogus of all things. They ran a story about Mangione’s friend mentioning they played Among Us together, and framed it as if that inspired him.

To NBC News’s credit, however, the article later explained the game was indeed child-friendly. In fact, the primary reason “Among Us” was mentioned was due to the fact that one of Mangione’s old friends — who played the game with him — found it “extremely ironic” that “we were in this game and there could actually be a true killer among us.”

I don’t think they’ll stop blaming video games until either:
a. Games get their own Hays Code or Comics Code, meaning until ~2060 there will be no games released above the “E” rating
b. A new form of media as incomprehensible to us as 5D space arrives on the scene
c. Both of the above
d. Humans go extinct on October 23, 2077
e. We get invaded by the Combine
f. All of the above

Proponents in both parties reached an understanding this year to approve the judicial legislation before the Nov. 5 election, so that lawmakers in both parties would be voting on it without knowing who the next president would be. It passed the Senate without any opposition in August.
But the bill sat idle in the Republican-controlled House until Donald J. Trump won, providing the G.O.P. with new incentive to pass it even as Senate Democrats are racing to fill as many judicial vacancies as possible with Mr. Biden’s nominees to deny Mr. Trump the chance.
Under the proposed legislation, Mr. Trump could potentially have about two dozen more seats to fill, along with any existing seats that open up over the next four years. The seats are for the lower-level trial courts, not at the appellate level, and it would not affect the Supreme Court.
“The magic of this undertaking was we were going to do it before the election, so no one knew who had the advantage or not,” said Senator Richard J. Durbin, Democrat of Illinois and chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. “I think the magic of the moment’s been lost.”
Senator Mitch McConnell, the Kentucky Republican and minority leader, said Mr. Biden’s act was driven strictly by partisan politics.
“It’s almost inconceivable that a lame-duck president could consider vetoing such an obviously prudential step for any reason other than selfish spite,” Mr. McConnell said Tuesday on the Senate floor. “Litigants across America deserve their day in court. And they deserve to know the federal judiciary has the bandwidth to carefully and thoroughly consider their cases.”
Speaker Mike Johnson also weighed in on Tuesday to support the bill.
“The bipartisan JUDGES Act passed unanimously in the Senate months ago. But NOW the White House has a problem with it for ONE reason,” he wrote on social media. “America just elected Trump.”

I’m not sure “hypocritical” is a strong enough word to cover everything going on there. Or the apoplectic levels of rage I feel towards that decaying Kentucky fossil every time he makes some statement about things being unfair.
But sure Mitch. You go ahead and call out those partisan political actions. When you’re done, maybe you’ll let us know when you plan to get around to all those Obama appointments you did nothing with for what I’m sure were appropriate reasons.

Well if it makes mediocre Mike unhappy, then I’m totally onboard with the plan to deny American Adolf a chance to mess up the judiciary even more.

If Harris won, would the veto still occur?
Doubtful. But it almost certainly wouldn’t have been up for veto either, since the article specifically mentions it didn’t get passed by the Republican-controlled House until Trump won. And if it had been passed prior to that, the Republicans would have been out there rallying against it, and calling it an overreach, and vowing to block the appointments, and saying that there are already enough judges, and all the other stuff they usually do in that situation, because the entire party has discovered that voters on their side will ignore the double standard as long as they get to “own the libs” and have embraced being impossibly partisan hypocrites who only do stuff when it benefits them and them alone.
