As polls begin to open and the first ballots are being cast, 538 has updated their projection models and estimates that Harris wins 50/100 simulations compared to Trump winning 49/100.

So still a coin flip, but for the first time in weeks a coin flip favoring Harris.

If Kamala wins and she manages to appoint enough left-leaning Supreme Court Justices, what would be the odds of Roe v. Wade being reinstated?

Imo roe v wade should be official law, not a court ruling that can be overturned when douchebags feel like they want a headline.

Assuming that isn’t one of Kamala’s “walk backs” then pretty good. And since Roe has been a winning issue for the last 3-ish years, I think it’s a safe bet.

Why are you nervous? You don’t think Trump is violent and/or a dictator, and Harris doesn’t have a record of violence.

Dude had four fucking years to do what should have taken a few months at most and put EVERYONE involved behind bars or in the ground, including the guy that started it. Instead a few figureheads/scapegoats got actual time, a few other people got slapped on the wrist, and the actual ringleader/instigator got a platform to keep spewing bullshit.

I feel like if you had every political scientist in a room and forced them to make a prediction, they’d say Kamala would be the winner. But anything can happen, it’s time to see if there are more reasonable people than dumb people in this country

Trump is more so uncaring. In his first term many were also frustrated by non-serious he was. How they had to dumb things down for him and how he never put in any serious effort. It’s a thing they appreciated about Biden as he always read the briefings and took his job seriously. While they had to go slow for him they didn’t have to dumb things down and they could count on him understanding the situation and understanding why it was important.
Trump just doesn’t care about the responsibility of being president. He just wants to feel like he’s important and he also wants to be above the law.

Trump is a child in a man’s body and so it will mostly be his caretakers that are really in charge. All they have to do is give Trump the impression that he is important as that’s all he cares about.

The budget for this years election is at an all time low so that could have something to do with it. While the budget for campaigns has only gone up the budget for the election process itself is constantly being cut by republicans. After all the more things go wrong in an election the more credible their claims of fraud are and the easier it is to throw out votes they don’t like.
A substantial amount of that budget is also being used to secure elections and pay lawyers this time around so it’s spread even more thinly.

Which is just stupid. With how much is at stake you would think they would spare no expense on the budget of the election this year.
I do hope that the Harris administration will try to push for automatic voter registration. It’s pretty dumb it’s not a thing yet. If you are a US citizen then they already have all the relevant data to register you to vote. It’s pretty dumb you have to provide it all a second time and the only reason that is the case is to make voting more cumbersome.
