Former Republican Lieutenant Governor of Georgia Geoff Duncan has come out and endorsed Harris.
He states that he is “committed” to beating Trump, and would have no problem voting for the other party if the option is between “a decent person [he] disagrees with on policy” over “a convicted felon without a moral compass.”
Good on him for being the increasingly mythical ‘Republican with standards’.

Maybe, but throughout their shit flinging they have found stuff that sticks in the meantime that they’re going to juice for all it’s worth:
1- She enthusiastically threw black men in prison.
2- She got to where she is today by sleeping with Willie Brown.
3- She’s a DEI hire, Biden said so.
4- She had a 91.5% staff turnover in the whole of her vice presidency.
  • This one is true, and while it’s lower than Trump (92%) it’s still a very alarming figure.
I post these data points to tell you all to prepare for the other side’s rhetoric.

Okay, look, I’m typically one to try and shy away from prognostication but…even a “honeymoon” period cannot explain the sheer overwhelming positive movement toward Harris.
It’s like Biden’s candidacy was the last damn holding back the “fuck Trump” flood.

Reich-wingers have a new conspiracy theory ever since Biden dropped out of the race: he dead.
Fox News, Charlie Kirk, Jack Posobiec, Alex Jones, nearly the entire Conservosphere (Trademarked and Patented and Copyrighted, Do Not Steal) are saying he dead.
Now, statistically speaking it’s a high probability that a man Biden’s age did die in the 3 or 4 days since we’ve seen him, but he has come out and shown that he is in fact “Not he dead”.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. As a distinguished and dignified connoisseur enjoyer of a good theory crafting myself, it grinds my gears to see amateurs being only capable of passing around the dumbest and most easily disprovable conspiracies imaginable.
Tinfoil hats used to mean something, dammit!

Definitely has a “hero’s journey” feel to it. They struck down the wise old mentor, and made the campaign stronger than anyone imagined.

What I’m trying to say is that their going full throttle with Harris now. I believe this is not the best way to get the majority of the American people to vote for her. Plus, it feels like she’s peaking way too early, considering there’s only 4 months left before the election swings in motion.
What we could be seeing is the start of her rise, but it’s a rise that looks short given the time there is before the election.
Basically, if Biden had decided to drop out of his re-election plans say 4 or 5 months ago, that would’ve given Harris way more time to rise in the polls and cover more ground for herself, but with how short of a ramp there is until the election, we could, theoretically speaking, see her lose in the general election.
Add into account the voters who were planning on voting for Biden could stay at home, seeing that their candidate isn’t going to be seeking a second term in office anymore, so there’s a lot of problems where Harris might see lower voter turnout from those people who are Democrats.
