And now Gun Owners of America has secured an injunction against the ATF’s new rule for it’s members.
And no surprise the NRA seems to have stayed quiet on it because they’ve become a bunch of Fudds.
Can’t say I’m too big a fan of the GOA myself. While I am less inclined to supporting gun control as a leftist compared to when I was a liberal, I think their push to completely deregulate gun ownership on all levels is ill-advised at best.
Plus there’s also that issue of founder and leader Larry Pratt’s “Christian” Dominionist beliefs and his connections to antisemitic and white supremacist groups.
Senate has passed the Fiscal Responsibility Act to prevent default. Biden all but certain to sign it tomorrow.
Even though he may have prevented a Great Depression, he may have done so at the expense of his reelection. He better hope the GOP is too insane in 2024 like they were in 2012. (Claire McCaskill would’ve lost her Senate seat in Missouri much sooner if Todd Akin kept his mouth shut.)
Twitter’s head of trust and safety has resigned
All due to Daily Wire’s new documentary “What Is a Woman?” being banned from streaming or uploading to Twitter (though there was a way to embed it, with Twitter covering it with a warning).
So yeah now Twitter will probably be no holds barred, because either Elon will leave it vacant or put someone on his side in.
If it means I can tell Vatniks to plant sunflowers (in a more direct manner), it might not be too bad.

Some of those crops could theoretically be grown hydroponically in climate controlled buildings where water is far more abundant.
So a vatnik is claiming Russia should start killing Ukraine supporters abroad. It goes without saying that would be an Article 5 and the end of Putler (and likely Moscow).
And yeah. They better remember the coined up phrase “Behind every blade of grass”.

Watching self-proclaimed die hard libertarians that championed “free speech” publicly bend the knee and lick capitalism’s muddy boot is always a hoot.
I doubt Elon is a libertarian. Someone like him that grew on the fruits of apartheid South Africa and bumbled his way through life with his attitude can’t end up center-right.
@Violet Rose in The Rain
Self-proclaimed being a key part of my statement; the weasel pretends to be for free thinking, enterprise, and speech, but as @Wiimeiser says, it’s all for show and he’s very much a “rules for thee but not for me” guy. I doubt he even thinks poor people are even actually “really people”.
Would it be a good idea for Stacey Abrams to go to Houston and Dallas-Forth Worth to work her GOTV magic? Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth are 17% and 16% black, respectively.
Oh, in case anyone was wondering how the Free Speech Warriors are doing these days, here’s one responding to a verbatim posting of the actual First Amendment:
