Celeste is only being hit with charges for trying to conceal a dead body (they tried to burn then buried the fetus). The mother is being charged with abortion past the time limit and performing abortions while not a licensed doctor. The later would be valid even if Roe v Wade wasn’t overturned, so she was always in trouble. Especially since they thought talking about it on Facebook was a good idea.
