I would assume that actual Russians on Twitter are mostly from bigger cities, probably either young or middle-aged. I don’t know for sure, but I assume that rural, less educated, or not English-speaking folks prefer VKontakte to Twitter. And a lot of Twitter pro-Z accounts are paid trolls meant to convince westerners. Some of them probably are Western useful idiots too.

At least 4 people have already been detained, 2 of them had previously participated in pickets against the war in Ukraine, according to the OVD-Info human rights project.

It could result in a totalitarian regime that will last forever, because even the slightest disobedience will be detected. And even in non-totalitarian states it will support the oppression of political dissidents, minorities, or even vocal representatives of otherwise quiet majorities.

Exactly that. What’s worse is that they and nobody else want to recognize the Taliban as the legitimate government of Afghanistan, even though they won the war fair and square (and no amount of aid and US troops was ever going to save Afghanistan’s democracy; disapproval was so low it was not worth saving).
