I sincerely hope that you are already genuinely well-aware of this fact, yet I’m not going to hold my breath if it turns out that you really aren’t—whether it was that way to begin with, in the end, or for any other reason, likewise.
Regardless, this is not the slam-dunk rebuttal that you think it is, and trust me: in the context that you’re using it in and applying it to, at least, it never will be.

At the end of the day, it really is a personal and family medical decision. Pregnancy involves risk and side effects, repercussions that can carry well after. There are just as many women seeking abortion that have children, have a family, and are not just using it as birth control. It’s an insulting view anyway to assume that women aren’t smart enough to make personal decisions that affect their health and family. To choose between the mother or the fetus is an impossible choice personally, so it is one that the woman should make, not the state, government, or fellow citizens.
This reminds me of an article I once read that goes into the difficulties women experience with pregnancy, whether they choose to have a baby or not.
Abortion is not murder
It brings up a lot of good points IMO.

McDonald told reporters that Jennifer Crumbley did not contact the school but instead texted her son: “Lol. I’m not mad at you. You have to learn not to get caught.”

First: she’s right. That’s not me condoning the shooting, but that if you’re planning on doing crime, you should at least be discreet about it.
Second: that not raising alarm bells is completely logical. Buying ammunition isn’t suspicious unless you’re buying Brenton Tarrant-levels of the stuff, and due to kids getting expelled for completely idiotic gun-related stuff (like a fold of paper that might look like a pistol, or the gun hand gesture, or whistling Pumped Up Kicks) leads to a person-cried-wolf situation where complaints and concerns aren’t taken seriously because of people either making a fuss out of nothing, or malicious complaining by Karens, thus authorities are wary of pursuing what could be false-positives that would lead to bad press (therefore putting their jobs on the line).

Perhaps it speaks to the mental stability of the child’s primary caregivers and the kind of environment he was being raised in, providing in turn some explanation as to why a number of fairly obvious red flags didn’t prompt some kind of intervention.

If conservatives want to restrict abortion, then they need to make it easier to have kids in this gods forsaken nation.
Hospital births shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg, there should be price controls. Maternity leave and paternity leave should be federally mandated. No adoption agency should be allowed to turn down prospective parents for their orientation or religious beliefs. And the overall state of medical care in the US needs to be redoubled.
That’s my primary problem with the anti-abortion people. They want to force women to give birth, while never even considering how stupidly difficult it is to start a family in the US compared to other nations.

Because the entire party has committed themselves to strategy of maintaining power by never admitting fault or culpability under any circumstance. They’ve spent years selling themselves to their overly zealous supporters that way, claiming to be moral authorities fighting for whatever particular ideology said supporter believes in, and the end result of this approach is a situation where they’re basically incapable of having of spines or a single ounce of actual moral fiber. So they either remain silent on issues that absolutely continue to escalate the problem, or they resort to Trump’s favorite Russian propaganda tactic, i.e. whataboutism, or they go to the increasingly popular “no, it’s all an act by the other side” approach that also conveniently ignores the fact that almost every time something like that actually happens, it’s their side doing it.

So the end result is that you have a party that, rather than contradict the stupid things still being said and spread by a dimwitted former gameshow host and general business failure who lucked his way into the White House thanks to foreign interference and a decades long party lead effort to smear his opponent, doubles down on the stupidity and embraces the idea that there’s some elaborate conspiracy at play so they can assure their faithful that of course they aren’t wrong, because it would be too heartbreaking for the party of “f*ck your feelings” to find out that they may be mistaken on something.

Personal responsibility is anathema to American conservatives.
Never admit fault, never apologize, never defend, never take responsibility; always attack, distract, obfuscate, confuse.
Remember Trump’s entire presidency: since he put in his nomination, the playbook was to never acknowledge any fault, never respond to any accusation, and create a new controversy before the previous one could gain any traction.
And the GOP now is just Trump sycophants and imitators, bar a handful that are constantly harassed and harangued and called “RINOs” for not kneeling to the orange god in every matter.
Republicans are spineless cowards for letting a literal clown take over their party and proving what bitches they really are.
