Wages
It is a commonly held belief that wages, x labour-time = y money, are the price of a labourer’s manifestation of useful labour, labour that produces use-values; are the exchange-value of a manifestation of useful labour, but if that was so, then a manifestation of useful labour would be equivalent to another manifestation of useful labour, yet it is a quantity of a manifestation of useful labour that is equivalent to another quantity of another manifestation of useful labour with the quantities being commensurable with time units, so what is measured can’t be a manifestation of useful labour, but labour-power, an abstraction, an objectification, of all manifestations of useful labour whose measure, a form of manifestation of useful labour, whose measure is labour-time, rendering useful labour into wage-labour and a labourer into a wage-labourer, so between a capitalist and a wage-labourer, the wage-labourer exchanges their labour-power for the capitalist’s wages–portions of the capitalist’s capital, but not of the profits of the wage-labourer’s products that, at the moment of exchange, have not come into existence yet–to buy means of subsistence, leaving the capitalist class to be owned by it, from which is the demonstration of labour-power as a commodity, as an external object that satisfies a desire and has a duality of being a use-value arising from its physical body and being a formal use-value arising from its being an exchange-value of another commodity, so thus, wages are the exchange-values of labour-power, are a capitalist’s commodities, and not the exchange-value of a product of a wage-labourer’s manifestation of useful labour, let alone the products themselves; and nothing more.
