Just because i don’t want a generation of people trapped in debts and homeless doesn’t mean i actively want to kill old people, i 100% want people to minimize the spread and to make sure that at risk people are given medical treatment to help them, but locking down entire states and imposing detention without trial with shelter in place orders ect isn’t OK as a response to anything, not a virus not terrorism, nothing,

Because I live in a swing state. If I lived in a sapphire blue state then I would have the luxury flipping the bird to a hypothetical Biden/Trump election.
 
A single vote effectively means nothing, but I ain’t gonna be a reason Trump gets reelected.
 
Of course I doubt Biden can beat Trump even with my “Not Trump” vote, so me voting - ahem - ‘for Biden’ doubles as a golden ticket for me to berate the “Unity”, “Electability” and “Vote Blue No Matter Who” crowds when/if Biden finishes the mistakes the DNC made in 2016.

Well for starters, the virus doesn’t kill the great majority of people, and most of those it does are close to the end of their lifespan. Of course we shou;d work to protect tem anyway, but the coronavirus isn’t a world-ender even if left unopposed (unless it mutates or something. I guess.)
 
So if most people would be fine even with no restrictions, even more will be fine with some restrictions. Doesn’t mean they should be relaxed, but uour panic is way excessive.

Our panic is very justified here, Just think of all the lives that will likely be lost if restrictions in America are eased even by a teensy bit
