Thousands of out of state residents, with no voting power nor vested stake in Virginia, descended on our state and demanded that our dully elected legislature and governor be ousted despite committing no crimes worthy of such.

Ideally, yeah. At the very least, they should be extremely affordable. But in the end, school lunches are prepared by a catering company, not the school itself.

A couple thousand demonstrators descended upon Richmond to protest the new gun laws.
 
Which is fine, but I take issue with two things.
 
  1. A lot of them are not even from VA.  
  2. Several prominent ones advocated for the removal of our governor and legislatures because of said laws.

Well to be fair, they could be concerned as to new laws forming precedent/a chain effect - especially if they seem to work. And trying to scare the government into thinking they’ll lose office over a policy is pretty standard, isn’t it?
 
Or to put it another way - how would you feel about similar protests against an anti-abortion law?

Well to be fair, they could be concerned as to new laws forming precedent/a chain effect - especially if they seem to work. And trying to scare the government into thinking they’ll lose office over a policy is pretty standard, isn’t it?
Or to put it another way - how would you feel about similar protests against an anti-abortion law?
 
Nobody’s gonna tear a foetus out of a pregnant woman’s body and use it to massacre dozens of innocent people.
