The US has an anti-nuke defense system. It's not sufficient against Russia or China but it is sufficient against North-Korea. If it can stop North-Korea it can stop Israel too.
On top of that it's not a convincing argument considering Trump ripped up the Iran nuclear deal and Biden hasn't restored it despite Iran wanting too.
