> Putin really seems to think he is Stalin

Except Putin hates communism and the only reason he has affinity for Stalin is WWII and (for better or for worse) being leader at the peak of the Soviet Union's power (He's also viewed favorably in Georgia, where Stalin was born and raised, and Armenia). The real analogy is Nicholas II, who was a literal monarch and a million times worse than any Soviet leader. Suffice to say things didn't work out for him, or his family. Not that anyone felt bad, of course.

Except Putin hates communism and the only reason he has affinity for Stalin is WWII and nothing else. The real analogy is Nicholas II. Suffice to say things didn't work out for him, or his family. Not that anyone felt bad, of course.
