A comic book store in Knoxville TN is raising money to provide free copies of Maus to any middle or high schooler who wants it.


Unless it's outright porn, no book should be banned in a schools library.

Some books should have some restrictions, but none should be banned.

When I was in HS, I had to fill out special forms and get my folks permission, but I was able to read the Communist Manifesto, Mein Kampf, various religious texts (fun fact, you had to get a waiver to read the Koran, but not the Bible), and a few other books.

Suppression will always fail, the path to understanding is through education.
