And that's just the problem, when people hear it, they think it actually means defund the police as in get rid of all their funding until they shut down. It sends the wrong message and people misunderstand what the real goal is.
You want a slogan that gets people to think of what this cartoon is trying to convey:
It's ironic because even though the cartoon explains it nicely, the white rat represents people who immediately think of_*this_* cartoon:
My point is, we shouldn't have to *explain* what the slogan means; the slogan should already point out exactly what it means on its own.
