Nihilism is still an ethos. An ethos is just a cultural characteristic.
Even in rhetoric and persuasion, there are plenty of nihilistic options. -Maybe not so much for- Phronesis,- but arete and enuoia are not inherently in opposition to Nihilism. Actually, upon reflection, if taken as "wisdom" and not "skills", nihilism still has value from a Phronesis sense.
Keep in mind, Nihilism is more than just "nothing matters". It's "there is no higher meaning, there is only your will". And thusly, it is up to your will to define any meaning for oneself.
