You know what I’d like to see? A video game that employs some kind of paranoia mechanic, where small, creepy things happen that you don’t notice right away, but build up. Like NPCs will stare at your player, or directly at the camera, or while scrolling through items in your menu, the descriptions are replaced with threatening messages for a split second, or described as doing the opposite of what they’re supposed to (like curative items described as inducing a status ailment instead of curing it).
