I finished watching Filly Funtasia few days ago (completely safe for work screencap btw https://youtu.be/XJYguNoI5Do?list=PLf_VfTyJEBiWrvK6f00rNmCQV9cbPGbwY&t=628)

This show has so many issues with graphics, like lowres textures, lowres textures combined with super lowres textures on same surface, textures missing at all, bad UVs with stretches, low quality geometry with sharp edges and just sharp edges on things that supposed to be smooth, water not clipped by boat floating inside it, and so on

It’s not a rarity to see characters or something else hovering few cm above the ground. Seriously many scenes look like a drafts. Meanwhile you can see well detailed and beuatiful grass few scenes away from the blurry mess I shown above.

There was not enough work done on the graphics. On other hand I dunno if I should upset by this level of quality, it makes me believe that if I ever wanted to create a 3d cartoon, then I could achieve something like that. And it doesn’t destroy impresion entirely.

Scenario quality is also varies. I’d say most boring episodes was in the middle, in the end of first season and first half of second, latter ones felt a bit better. For me it’s more interesting to watch just random stories from their fantasy world than lore defining episodes about “Rose is special filly, her ancestors created dark super-crystal, blah-blah” or ordinary stories like royal wedding. Also I have a feeling that dialogues were better in the first episodes, but I’m not sure, I don’t want to rewatch it to compare more precisely.:D
Atleast they’re lost their villain evil guy, in the beginning he was atleast shouting at Battywings cleverly like “You imcompetent piece of a flying rodent!”, in later episodes he’s not good at anything at all.

There’s couple of ships in the show. Rose likes a stallion named Zack, who looks and behaves like a typical white knight. There’s also a moment in other episode where Cedric says he’s in love with.. Lynn, but he most likely wanted to name someone else. Someone else in most likely Rose, because he was in crasing air balloon with Rose and Lynn at the moment. Also in latter episode Will saves Lynn from falling by casting “huge heart-shaped pillow” spell, what also suggests something.

Now I’d need to watch Wind Manes, there’s ten new episodes came out while I was watching FF.
