Oddly, the Irish used to not even be considered “white,” (despite being very light skinned) and people used to be very prejudiced against them.
Old prejudices are very weird.

Okay, that “Turning Red” pic idea is coming back to me even though I scrapped it a few months ago.

I like randomly pondering weapon history and just had a thought of how mind-blowing it would have been for the first dude to see a repeating crossbow.

Like you’re just some random Chinese provincial guardsmen with your longbow, looking out across the battlefield. Suddenly Wong the village psychopath comes over the hill with a box on a stick and proceeds to go ancient shotgun warrior on a some bandits who get bolts to the face before they can blink.
