What does it mean when an image has a file embedded in it?

Anyone else notice that if you look at an older comment you liked under a video, it appears that you didn’t like it even though hovering over it says that clicking it will cause you to unlike the comment?

Hasn’t happened to me yet, but it sounds like a bug.

So apparently 4Chan claimed the OK hand sign meant white power as a joke, and after the media ate it up, actual white supremacist adopted it. I think that says a lot about the media.
