I once thought I hate it at first but when my food taste matured even better, my mom is always disappointed at me for stealtily eating theirs after I had easily finished mine.

Most of the mega forms are humanoid, and I think that’s due the writers/designers because of the Bishōnen Line trope (basically the the more powerful something is, the more human it looks). Also, they know that their target audience, hence why Adventures season 1 had a cat fight near the end.
 
An in-universe reason could be that the human world has some influence on the digital world, hence why angels, devils and breasts are a thing in it.

They literally don’t reproduce outside of dying and coming back as a baby (or never and just be absorbed in Tamers). There’s no reason for there to be genders in that world outside of human influence, who aren’t naturally in the digital world.

Neither do Transformers but there’s still males and females you sir are part of the problem for why some writers have to come up with explanation to justify that instead of just letting it be a thing.  
And again biology sex is not the same thing as gender.

Wasn’t the whole concept of Digimon that the digital world was influenced by data from the human world? Anyway,the rules change from season to season.

Than why would a species without sexes have genders? Genders are a thing because there are two sexes (which is a thing because that’s how our species reproduce). And wasn’t the female one added in the movie because “boobs?”
