I’m TAKING this BABY
So for context I’m not the DM of this campaign but I play a wood elf bard who was a sailor turned adventurer, and my teammates are a dwarf ranger and a tiefling Druid. So me and my party had been sent to retrieve a magical hammer dulcimer from some temple and we fought a harpy to get it. We then discovered after we killed the harpy that she was simply defending her baby.
Me: Oh gods we can’t just leave it here it’ll die!
Druid: We have to leave it.
Ranger: Yeah it’s not like we can take i-oh please don’t
Me: I’m TAKING this BABY and you guys can do NOTHING to stop me.
so we now have a harpy child that’s the equivalent of an 8 month old human. They’ve become very fond of her. My Druid wants to teach her draconic and we named her after our favorite bartender.
Not going to lie, it’s something I would do in a campaign. I even want to have a necromancer adopt a Slaymate ( orphan turned undead correction, children who died due to their parents betraying them and now seek new parents) instead of a familiar.
