it wouldn’t be exponential. just one day i’d abruptly have billions of dollars. before anyone knew what had happened i’d be gone to a tropical country with no extradition treaty via the private plane i purchased.
@SquiggyBomb
maybe so, but most of the ire for mimes comes from their uncanny-valley ness, not the actual miming itself which admittedly does take tons of skill and practice.

I’m just saying they’re humanoid but are so radically different with their poofed up rainbow hair and red noises and painted up faces.
Honestly they make Slenderman look normal.

that one didn’t follow you either. just the deposit record, since it was stamped on link’s head. essentially link spends the whole game stealing from the banker.
that said, i frigging love majora’s mask. it’s easily the best zelda game.

“that one didn’t follow you either. just the deposit record, since it was stamped on link’s head. essentially link spends the whole game stealing from the banker.”
The Versus Books strategy guide summed it up thusly (paraphrased): “After learning the amazing ability to travel through time, Link uses its unfathomable power to commit bank fraud.”
“that said, i frigging love majora’s mask. it’s easily the best zelda game.”
I’ve been on the fence about getting Majora’s Mask 3D on the 3DS ever since it came out last year, since it fixes the problems I had with saving from the original game… Only problem is, it also makes a lot of other, much less necessary changes (like ruining Zora Link’s controls and making it so you don’t get the Giant’s Mask until you’ve beaten one-half of Twinmold, which is just ridiculous).

huh, i never thought of it that way
i mean, the banker doesn’t seem to update the stamp on your physical person when you update your balance, so…?

this. so much this.
i don’t mind his default swimming speed being slower but why om the name of all that is holy would you make it take magic to swim the old way
i mean i usually have chateau romani active whenever i can so i barely notice it but still
also i haven’t gotten to twinmold yet but that sounds really stupid
but overall i’d definitely recommend it, it is a much improved version of the game in most ways, at least what i’ve played (which is right up to but not including stone tower)

honestly, while twilight princess was a great game, to me it was basically just an upgraded ocarina of time. i loved how epic it was, like how they played up the seriousness and gravity of things much, and it has easily the coolest scene in the entire zelda universe as far as i’m concerned. that is fucking epic.
however majora’s mask just blasts it right out of the water. it was so much more original and so much more ambitious (which is especially ironic since it reuses so many assets), and of course had so much mystique and mystery behind it with the whole game following the five stages of grief and setting up the whole alternate interpretation that link is dead and in limbo.
it’s not to say majora’s mask was perfect. like @Jarkes said the save system was laughably broken, and i hated how there were so many useless masks in the game, and let’s not even get started on how fucking obnoxiously hard gyorg is, but overall it’s still on top.
i was interested in playing twilight princess only once; i’ve replayed majora’s mask tons of times.
@Jarkes
hmm. i’ve never actually played the hd rerelease. i played windwaker’s, because (prepare for scorn) i fucking hated windwaker and thought it was not only the worst in the zelda series, but quite a poor game overall, and the hd rerelease fixed pretty much ever single issue i had with it (the broken sailing mechanic and the obnoxious triforce hunt).
@SuperSupermario24
he does. he restamps link’s head every time. like jarkes said it’s basically time-travel-assisted-fraud.
at least with my method i’m copying my own (and legally acquired) money via time paradox. i might be willing to tear the fabric of space and time for my own selfish gain, but i draw the line at stealing some poor kid’s college fund.

oh my god yes the sailing
having never really played the original game i literally don’t know how anyone could sanely play the game without the swift sail

he definitely looks at your stamp every time you visit him, but he doesn’t touch you at all after you make a transaction, so there’d be no way for the details of whatever your last transaction was to transfer across the barrier of time

huh, you’re right. still, i think that’s the implication behind it.

i don’t think i would’ve minded having to do the full triforce shard hunt in wind waker very much; if nothing else, it would’ve given me something to do with my rupees besides blow them on the auction

It’s interesting to watch three different play throughs of the same game and seeing if the sync up
In this case the game is Dark Souls III and the LPers are Game Grumps TFS and Best Friends.

what sucks about it is you have to pay tons of money on the quest, and it’s all a boring as hell sailing treasure hunt. a few of the mini-dungeons you need to go through to get the maps are cool, but that’s it.
apparently though windwaker suffered some massive production problems, like they had to cut 4 dungeons or something (greatfish isle, jabun’s belly, and the fire and ice mountain islands i think) and such, so it really suffered that way. it would have been so cool if instead of a rerelease they made the original intended product.

Jabun’s belly sounds like a rehash of ocarina of tyme and the fire and ice islands still had small dungeons in it…

it probably would have been. from what i understand they were all intended to be full dungeons with map / compass / boss key / item and everything. apparently it’s why those islands are labelled in red on the map instead of normal.
if you’re interested in that kind of stuff, the cutting room floor has a massive article about all the debug and dummied out content in that game.
