And you misread what I said. Only the movies were actually canon, and the EU never was, quality aside. I much rather have KOTOR be canon over the Lucas Trilogy.
You seem to misunderstand what I’m saying. Since the old EU was never canon, and most of the EU stuff are made by fans, they are fanworks that are officially published. I wasn’t saying that it’s good or bad (I heard that KOTOR 2 is quite good), just that due to not being canon, it’s a fan-made product that was officially released but never actually canon. here’s a reason I see the environment where what is canon and what isn’t is up to the individual as a bad thing, since it means that nothing is.
@Darth Prime
Again, I never said that the Disney trilogy was great, just better than the Lucas trilogy, and both are worst than the OG trilogy.
That’s an exaggeration. Other than Ms. Do What I Say and the Casino Planet subplot, they’re not being as stupid as you think.
You seem to forget how the EU stuff that takes place after RotJ always seem to revolved around Skywalker and his descent. That’s the stuff I’m talking about when I talk about the series’s obsession with him and his blood.
@Darth Prime
The movies are canon and the Legends EU stories aren’t. It’s that simple. I never once acted like quality was a factor. (J.J. Abrams thought that they were good enough to rip off at least)
With the movies, that can be credited to them having different directors for the movies, hence why they’re much less focus. I still say that they’re overall better than the prequels, simple due to being better made. Helps that being better than the prequels isn’t a high bar.
Not as much as you think. The Casino Planet has no impact and they could easily have just remove her if they realized how bad trying to make a useless politician useful was.
@Meanlucario
that was back when it was a fantasy. i never thought it would really happen so i never thought about it that hard.
