I’m seeing why even people who liked the sequel trilogy don’t care for Rise.  
Also who tf is this dude? General Pride? He served Palpatine in the “old wars”…. Who?! Is he from a video game? The Rebels cartoon? Those novelty books where they recreate Star Wars with yarn?

He’s the guy here to replace Hux after it became impossible for Hux to be a threat the “can you here me now” scene and everything else after that.

I get that, but the way Palpatine says his name, and with the music cue as he looks up it’s portrayed like the audience is supposed to be all like, “Oh, it’s that guy!”

Mark Hamil always gives his all, but something feels off here.

Rose reminds me of Jar Jar. Not in character, but how she’s been used. She’s a major character and then a cameo.

So his soul possesses other Sith or sonething? So who’s body is he in now?  
Or is it still his like how Mace Windu got chucked down a million miles and survived with a couple scars.  
Kylo Is gonna turn good and all the Reylo shippers are gonna be happy or something.

See he goaded Luke in ROTJ because if Luke struck he down in anger Palpatine’s soul would have possessed Luke’s body and that’s why Vader stopped Luke because he was actually saving his son NOT the Emperor.  
Which is why Palpatine cackles at seeing father and son clash when his plan was thwarted.  
Now everything makes sense.
