The Republics in power the Jedi are there they’re branching out and exploring the unexplored and there’s a new threat on the horizon.

I can’t agree with the Jedi part. They were doomed to fail and making them in power again would feel more like fanwork than the canon Lucas and others set up.

Alright I don’t what Star Wars saga you were watching that makes you say that but also deriding it as fanwork without any apparent irony considering the Sequel Trilogy could also be classified as such especially since they throw out Lucas’s own script treatment for the Sequels so I don’t see your what point is making it sound less by calling it a fanwork than in comparison to what we got.
 
And yes I know that the same can be said about the old AU too so you don’t have to point that out.
