There’s faithful and then there’s the common sense to add quality of life features to make the games more enjoyable and accessable. The previous remakes were up to date with those generations’ current mechanics while still being faithful, so why can’t this remake?

Hey atleast they kept the Mindy trade.

I mainly use Timer Balls to catch Pokemon; it’s more superior than the Ultra Ball.

I tend to use quick/dusk balls unless it’s taking quite awhile.

Go to the Style Shop in Veilstone City, talk to the woman behind the counter, say “change my style.”

I started played BD today and so far it’s seems like a souped-up version of the original game.

I just met Cheryl, she needs me to help her get through Eterna Forest because apparently she’s heard that Team Galactic may be hiding.

So what does the dynamic shots of showing the player character first when you enter a wild Pokémon battle sometimes mean? Does that Pokémon happen to have a perfect IV or something?

You gotta wait till you get to Veilstone City to be able to change your appearance? Why till that long?

Because they needed something to replace the Game Corner, or only adults would be able to buy the game in Europe.

It doesn’t make sense why they couldn’t have had dressing shops in the other big cities as well. Having it replace the Game Corner in Veilstone City is a no-brainer indeed. Game Corners have become a thing of the past now that we have more convenient methods of obtaining the items from those places, along with soccer moms/Karens/whatever authority figures that had to be narcs worrying that gambling is too strong of a subject matter.

I blame corporations who sleep with the rating system so that gambling isn’t a problem in spot games with real money, but is a problem in Pokemon games with fake money.

And I never once used the Game Corner. Because it is flawed you can’t trust in your luck and you can buy coins. The only game where I actually like the Game Corner is HG/SS and that’s when this whole non gambling thing started so…

I always thought it was just fun.
