Pokemon General [SFW, No NSFW]

Gen4 is the last remake I’ll ever want. In my opinion, Gen5 onward is either already good enough that remakes are unnecessary or too far into the future that remakes aren’t likely.
 
What I want are SEQUELS. GIVE US ANOTHER BLACK2/WHITE2 STYLE STORY! I had such high hopes for UltraSun/UltraMoon, only to have my hopes horribly dashed….

Fuck remakes, just give me something worth playing.
 
Take some risks, push some envelopes, let a gym leader say ‘fuck!’.

Ever since Gen 4 I’ve been out of the loop with Pokemon. I know about stuff with a swimmer gym leader and national pokedex controversy. And Ash had a new girl named Serena at one point. (Sorry Misty)

We have at least three swimmer gym leaders (Misty from Red/Blue, Marlon from Black2/White2, and Nessa from SnS). Also, play Black/White.

But risks are scary, especially for those that can easily afford them.

It seems like people a more interested in the remakes than new games.

That’s because they are under the foolish notion that a remake will automatically be good and make up for everything bad about SnS.

I don’t know, I’ve seen plenty of people more terrified of the potential remakes than of new games, a lot of people seem to love Sinnoh and are scared the games are going to be just as bad as SnS were, I mean that silly debacle yesterday kind of proves that :P

Could be that those demanding remakes are now realizing the reality of GF. Again, there was a lot of begging for remakes after SnS, even in this thread.

Maybe I’m remembering wrong, but I meant people wanted gen3 before we got X/Y and gen4 before Sun/Moon.

Haven’t all the remakes (save perhaps Let’s Go!) been pretty good?

They were all before S/M. I’m counting Let’s Go as a separate entity for now. And here’s the big problem: D/P/P was all about adding stuff, and at the moment, I can’t see the current GF to add anything to the remakes.

A D/P/P prequel? I’ll take that over remakes. At least it looks different, even if I felt like I was watching the Monster Hunter Rise trailer instead of a Pokemon trailer.
