Cheren:Cold calculating and always backs away.  
Bianca:She is about friendship.  
N:He is the guy that you would consider a weirdo.

Tierno:Fat guy love dance.  
Trevor:I think he is the nerd.  
Shauna:She gives you a free pokemon after you beat the game.(So she is cool)  
Calem/Serena:Oh cool time to ignore this trainer throughout the game.  
Hau:He loves fried bread. And…wants to surpass his elder.  
Gladion:He’s a jerk with a heart.  
Hop:Second Banana.  
Bede:This guy is more of a rival than Hop will ever be.(He’s a jerk)  
Marnie:oh she’s cute.
 
I had to look up the Gen 6 rivals because I forgot all about them but this sounds about right. right.

Hau is a bit more complex, I’ll argue. I mean, he’s always smiling because he’s afraid to lose while giving it his all.

According to the game manual for Red and Blue, Blue was friends with Red, and possibly green, when they were children but changed at some point and became a jerk and bully.

The Isle of Armor has been confirmed for a June 17th release. Considering that’s literally next week, I don’t think a cancellation of delay is in our future.

I don’t think gen 2 has the opposite-sex rival appear in general. Also, Lyra is in the remakes, Kris is the female player character of Crystal (Gold/Silver only has the male trainer available).

Yeah, they started doing that in Gen 3. Even then, it is somewhat inconsistent.

It’s the second fight for them Brendan/May. And most people choose Mudkip in that gen.
 
And Hop is second banana. He’s tries to live up to the expectations of his dad.

So they could easily fix that. It’s not like characters have a set team, or else they would be the same in every game characters appear in (which isn’t the case).
 
The less the game is forcing Leon being the undefeated champion down our throats, the better.
 
Nothing, just pointing out that for a “weak” rival, they have a nasty history in the speedrunning community.
 
From what I’ve seen, he’s way too one-note, like what people claim Hau is.

I was watching Luminouse Trainer Zac’s video about what makes an episode of the Pokemon Anime good or bad, and…. did they really made an episode about Iris Axew getting lose DURING the arc of the Unova League? Like WTF is the point of such idea? (I stopped watching the anime for a very long time during the Unova saga because it really sucked ass, so I wouldn’t know that. I watched bits of the XY series and then restarted with Sun/Moon as things got interesting again in that one).
