Just a question…
Does anybody have any kind of WW1 picture or atleast some little information about the usage of semi-automatic rifles (Like the Farquhar-Hill, Mondragón M1908 or the Mauser Selbstlader M1916) in early war ‘fighter’ (Or more accurately; ‘Armed reconnaissance’) aircraft during the Great War? Before the appereance of synchronization gear that allowed aircraft to fire through the spinning propeller blades? I’ve read a bit that rifles like that were used to have some offensive degree against enemy aircraft, but I can’t seem to find anything corroborating that information…

U mad?
Caught something unexpected yesterday while railfanning. An Etihad Rail SD-70ACS which is here for servicing I guess (the Etihad logos have been temporarily covered). Needless to say it’s a long ways from home.

While everyone’s all about P-51s, Spitfires, and Messers… Imo this is my favorite WWII warplane.

Does those Messerschmitts count fot that, if so, I’m kinda guilty xp

If anything, I love very much heavy fighters/fighter bombers like those, the Kawasaki Ki-45, Bristol Beaufighter, Petlyakov Pe-2/Petlyakov Pe-3… But probably my favourite is the Grumman F7F Tigercat, probably one of the best prop heavy fighters:

…Yeh, I guess you’re right, still, I like that aircraft, I just love heavy fighters in general~ even though they’re kinda crappy against single-engined fighters, rip Bf-110s in the BoB
I also like the Focke-Wulf Fw-57, and I think that one isn’t overrated, I would be surprised if anyone knew of it :p
And I also like the Focke-Wulf Fw-187 Falke tbh I think it would’ve been better than the Bf-110 but oh well

No need to waste my time for long posts. I never said I hated it. I just find it too popular.

Oh, but I never said that you said you hated it, I was actually pointing out that it was indeed popular, sorry for the misunderstatement, my bad, and really sorry for wasting your time >.<’
Anywho ballyhoo, so, changing subjects. Maxim Gorky I Coastal Battery in Sevastopol, Ukraine. The turret is a post-war restoration with a Frunze’s battleship turret.

This ain’t no photoshop, this the McTrain that started in 1992 on Germany’s Deutsche Bundesbahn, it was canned in 1995 due to lack of popularity; ultimately becoming a failed concept
