There are two types of Spindashes.
 
Down B Spindash and the Side B Spindash. The B move Sonic has is a Homing attack from Sonic games.

I think they intentionally did it so that sonic can have some measure of unpredictability.

Yeah I thought so. That Sonic needed to use more Homing attack on you to beat you. Trust me I saw what you were doing to my amiibo with the Fishing Rod too and it didn’t take long for my amiibo to break it.

Okay testing it out on a CPU level 9. I can see this why matchup would be hard for a sonic player just by playing it itself.

I just tested it myself. A Sonic player wants to go fast and the fishing rod makes it so the Sonic player won’t go fast. That and added to the Isabelle’s Lloyd rocket(Aka Down B) makes the matchup barely fun to play with the Sonic player.

So in other words, NOT Fun for Sonic players.

Not good for Sonic players. I’m surprised that Poppt1 doesn’t know that matchup.
 
I also tested it with the Shulk on a level 9 Isabelle. And Shulk seems to be more fun of a match up for, than the Isabelle at level 9. Mainly cause Shulk’s sword can break through Isabelle’s Down b and the Fishing rod doesn’t seem to touch Shulk very much because of how big the Monado is.

If you are wondering what Poppt1 said for Sonics worst match he said is it’s Roy.

I had some run in with Roy before. He’s too fast for me.

Roy is fast and swingy swingy sword stuff but you have to be up close in personal to get the extra damage. Otherwise Roy strength is a lie.

Marth is almost the same way but has tipper to worry about.
 
Lucina and Chrom are the better verisions of the two. Chrom doesn’t have a good recovery though. And Lucina well you have Marth with no tipper in her.

They’re pretty scary when you main Isabelle. But not for Kirby mains I guess?

About that. Kirby mostly stuggles with Marth and Lucina. Shield pressure and stuff is all you need to look at.

I wouldn’t hold my breath. We keep getting these bite-sized presentations with either indie games, third party games, or release dates.

Like 3 or 4 months, sure, but still, expect the worst and hope for the best. We’re talking about yet another mini-showcase, so it won’t be anything spectacular unless Nintendo decidedly surprises us with something out of left field.
