Yeah. Pretty easy when descriptions for each character’s theme is up in the corner.
 
But anyway, I’m guessing the usual unlock conditions that were in the older games aren’t here anymore. I figured that might be the case when after beating classic mode with Mario, I was challenged by Sonic rather than Luigi, but I thought I’d check in.

Also, can I mention how disconcerting it is to hear Marth speaking English?

Tekken is up there.  
And of course Mortal Kombat is up there.

The same. Although, a part of me feels that not possible because not only do we already have a gun and blade wielding pretty boy, we also have a character voiced by Reuben Langdon. I guess I’m just hoping…
 
I also hope that we don’t get a character from Dragon Quest.
