Train kills entire heard of elk in Washington

Same type of folks who unironically enjoy modern life fuelled by these “dangerous infrastructures” that harm wildlife. For their information, the train operators TRIED, but one does not just simply stop a train moving at full speed. It’s not like cars. This was a freak accident.
But seriously though, it really sucks for the elks.
It just so happens this was a dumb herd. Darwinism in play right there.

Derailment in McPherson, KS
2 cars of denatured alcohol were involved and leaked along with some grain. What makes it a butt clincher is here the tracks go through the middle of a refinery, and it happened just inside it next to one of the buildings (someone on Facebook got a drone photo of it, and it was close).

Another derailment
This time a train made an emergency brake application to avoid hitting a truck, and the force of the sudden stop forced several cars loaded with new autos off the track. More than likely every auto on that train (even in cars that didn’t derail) will be written off and junked.

Bard is terrible. It will lie constantly. If it doesn’t know the answer to a question, it will lie; if you call it out on the lie, it will apologize, lie to explain why it lied, and deliver another lie. Whatever precommands they gave it, they apparently put a gun to its head and instructed it to always give an answer and never admit it doesn’t know.

It was a kneejerk and panicked response by Google to Microsoft’s ChatGPT. Google was caught with their pants down here.
Funny thing is. The guys behind ChatGPT were initially employed by Google some years back to develop AI engine for them. But Google kept hitting the breaks and doing next to nothing with the endeavor that it frustrated the team.

AI is truly amazing thing, isn’t it?
