Huh, I never realized that. It does kinda fit.


 
Though, the later Gameboy Pocket system had a more proper B&W screen.

There's also a rumor that a GameBoy Color remake of "Metroid 2" was planned, but never made.  
(Japan, did get a GBC color version of "Donkey Kong Land 3," and "Balloon Kid," while we didn't. However, we a got colorized "Game & Watch Gallery 2," while they just had a B&W version.)

The "Melee-counter" seems like an unnecessary gimmick, but it is kinda fun, I'll admit.

The "Fusion" game does kinda compensate a li'l with healing items being more common, and from nearly every enemy, at least.
