Legend of Zelda Thread
Now that I’ve started the Champion’s Ballad in “Breath of the Wild”, along with getting four non-DLC shrines done each day, I also must complete each champion’s song daily as well.

I hope they give the same love and attention they gave the recent Super Mario Movie.

Oh God he’s so Sauve.
Oh God he’s so Sauve.
I can’t imagine why they’d make it live action.
If I made Link talk, the last thing he would say in “Breath of the Wild” before his near-death experience (from before being put in the Shrine of Resurrection) would’ve been something sweet like “I never saw you as a failure” to Zelda.
I bet for the upcoming “Zelda” movie, they’ll combine elements from multiple games to tell a story, like “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” did.
But would it be an adaptation of a game? Possibly a mix of two or more? Or an original story, wholesale?
@Emerald Tanuki
The Legend of Zelda franchise does make sense in live action the same way Lord of the Rings does, there are a lot of human characters as suppose to creatures and the world looks very similar to our world, really all it takes is a good director and team behind production to make it work.

I’m guessing it may at least be based on the original NES story with some elements from other installments to give it that authentic feel like adding in races such as Gorons, Zoras, Gerudo, Ritos, Koroks and so on.

In “Tears of the Kingdom”, there’s a difference for players between gleefully tormenting a Korok out in the wilderness…and feeling heartbroken at Korok Forest being all still and dark after being infected by Gloom Hands within the Great Deku Tree’s belly.
This is accurate.
That commercial was ahead of its time
Wasn’t the case for me upon the midnight release back in May

Ain’t that the truth.
Ain’t that the truth.
Alot of people are already badmouthing the movie for being live-action (hey, it worked for Sonic) yet we hardly know anything about it.
I even saw a guy say it should be animated and by Illumination, which is funny after all the “Illumination” hate the Mario movie got when it was first announced.
@Beau Skunky
I would say zelda probably would translate better to live action than mario wood.
I mean, it’s not exactly a super serious franchise, but it’s not exactly as cartoon as Mario is.
I also have the opinion that no live action adaptation is bad just because itid1878 s live action.
another thing just like Mario, This is not a studio buying movie rights with no input from nintendo

If anything, I was hoping for a live-action movie. Back then, I imagined Vin Diesel as Ganondorf for a giggle.
Naa Dwayne.
In their misguided brains, better to let Illumination less-blatantly misinterpret the characters than to risk a repeat of the Bob Hoskins Mario movie
That’s fair. Nevertheless, we’ve come so far with live-action adaptations of certain video game and anime titles (A:TLA doesn’t count, but Netflix did good, if the trailer is anything to go by)
