I know he was referring to CA, but my point was that why would bob want to go from the Eacapist to CA? CA for all its popularity back in the day, wasn’t as popular as the Escapist. Bob had a few connections with CA, but I’m not aware of him ever wanting to join that site.

It’s funny, because my mate Instig8tive Journalism basically foretold what would happen to them and bob when he discussed Anita…in a video from 2012.
It’s funny, because when all the aforementioned people were together on the Escapist, them (along with the Eacapist) were important, but without it they aren’t…unless their names are Jim Sterling or Ben Croshaw.

Let’s be honest. If something like this was implemented, This is so they can remove your right to play it after you’ve bought it, if they don’t like your take on the game. Any recent games come to mind?

This is a real danger. Not wanting your game to be streamed is one thing, but how would you enforce it? Banning people from playing your game is not a good thing to normalize. It’s something that’s already done in online multiplayer games, but it’s somewhat accepted due to targeting players that ruin the experience of others, and doesn’t have an alternative since player-owned servers stopped being a common thing. But extending the reasons why someone can be banned is a dangerous precedent to set, especially for something external to the game experience like streaming.
(Or modding a single player game)

This is a bad take. Do streamers get popular from playing games? Absolutely. But they don’t stay popular because of any one game. Any game owner that tries to restrict streaming of their game is in a losing position, whereas the streamers will come out just fine. There would have to be a wide, coordinated effort by the majority of game owners to restrict streaming in order to have an effect, and it’s likely that any game that doesn’t get restricted will fill in the void.
The best one could hope for is for streaming restrictions to become the norm, so that any particular game that gets prevented from streaming doesn’t draw negative attention to itself. This will benefit some games, but will hamstring others as a cost. Anyone making good games doesn’t want this.

She does this every few months it seems now to stay relevant, like when she whined about it and then demanded a job- and while that was happening: MovieBob got absolutely destroyed by Lindsey Ellis. Since he was fired from Escapist he dared talked to one of the elites and she went off on him like “We’re not friends. We never were friends. Leave me alone you disgusting, creepy freak.” And he locked his account.
I had so much popcorn.
